MISSION

Long-term assistance for the Arts in countries without funding for the arts in areas of development, education and infrastructure. Long-term goal is to help schools and universities build a strong and sustainable art program, facilitating and coordinating resources, faculty, advanced curriculum and technology on a need basis. We will proceed in three phases, hopefully at the third phase Zamen will have reached its goals and vision.

Phase I

Fine Arts Department, Kabul University, Afghanistan

Phase II

To help schools with art emphasis, so students are better prepared for
the University education.

Phase III

Apply similar programs to other schools and universities internationally in countries that need our support.

Vision

We at Zamen believe in the power of arts to have a therapeutic effect on the society. Our vision is that with the help of people who believe in the arts we will nurture artists in impoverished countries like Afghanistan. Once these artists mature and create their art, it will reach help have an impact in their communities, society, country and beyond. We believe that art at its best will make us better human beings. Each of us has been touched and inspired by at least one book, a piece of music, a film or some other form of art.
