Long-term goal is to help them build a strong and sustainable program, facilitating and coordinating resources, faculty, advanced curriculum and technology.
STEP I
In April of 2006, Yama Rahimi held a month long seminar on Cinema at the University. The class was enrolled 30 students but ended up with 55 students. The class explored the seven main aspects of Film: Writing, Directing, Producing, Cinematography, Production Design, Sound, and Editing. Each session started with lecture, course study material, and experiential learning. Afterwards the students watched some 20 films from around the world.
With help of friends and family Yama raised funds to donate a generator, audio speakers and 200 DVDs of Cinema's greatest films which most of the students never had a chance to see.
STEP II
To donate a camera or two for the CINEMA Department, so the students to shoot some short films and gain first hand experience.
Provide assistance to the other departments such Photography, Graphic Design, Painting, Sculpture and Music.
